MYtravel

The challenge for this school project is to develop a travel planning web app that will make it easier for anyone to make a travel plan and explore new cities.

Role:

I worked in a 3-person team as a front-end developer and created the AJAX application for MYtravel.

Deliverables:

– Created a Google Map inspired web mapping service
– Created AJAX request using query from user to get JSON data of venue recommendations from Foursquare API.
– Set up a proxy server on Node.js / Express.js and deployed it on Heroku.

Front-End:

JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, CSS, Bootstrap, HTML, Foursquare API, Leaflet.js, Mapbox API
